President Abinader honors 14 Dominicans in New York

Dominican President Luis Abinader led the fourth edition of the ‘Dominicano Destacado en el Exterior: Index Somos Todos’ ceremony in New York. The event, organized by the Institute of Dominicans and Dominicanas Abroad (Index) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, honored 14 Dominican nationals for their professional achievements and contributions to various United States communities.

The awardees were recognized across diverse sectors, including medicine, education, technology, business, arts, security, public service, and community work. Notable honorees included NYPD Lieutenant Gypsy Pichardo, pulmonologist Wilson Arismendy Quezada, and business leader Bernarda Rodríguez. Other recipients included healthcare professionals, technology experts, and military personnel serving in the United States Armed Forces.
