President Adama Barrow inaugurates new road in The Gambia

President Adama Barrow has inaugurated the newly completed 16-kilometer Bani-Salikeni Road in Njaba Kunda, located in the North Bank Region of The Gambia. The project, fully funded by the government through the Ministry of Transport, Works and Infrastructure and the National Roads Authority, aims to enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and improve access to social services for local residents.

During ceremonies in the North Bank Region, President Barrow also laid foundation stones for further infrastructure projects, including a 100-kilometer road linking Daru Rilwan and Tankonjala. These efforts are part of Phase II of the Connect Gambia Infrastructure Project, which is expected to involve the construction of approximately 360 kilometers of new roads nationwide.

Addressing critics of his administration's development record, President Barrow argued that the tangible results of road and electricity expansion prove his government's ability to fulfill campaign promises. He emphasized that the ongoing infrastructure works are designed to unlock new business opportunities and improve living standards for all Gambians.
