President Aleksandar Vučić Announces Major Pension Hike at Serbia Parliamentary Rally
President Aleksandar Vučić addressed a crowd assembled in front of the Serbian parliament, claiming attendance of up to 207,000 people. He vowed a substantial increase in pension payments, stating that the rise would begin before the end of the year and that further improvements were planned. Ministers, including the energy minister and other officials, were present on the stage, and the event featured large national symbols such as a 500‑metre Serbian flag.
Vučić also hinted at an upcoming resignation, saying he would step down in the coming weeks, while urging citizens to support the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in future elections.
