President Anura Kumara Dissanayake inaugurates Sri Lanka Economic & Investment Summit 2026

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is inaugurating the Sri Lanka Economic & Investment Summit 2026 today at the Shangri-La Colombo. Organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the two-day event focuses on the theme ‘Positioning Sri Lanka in a Changing Global Economy: Resilience, Reform, and the Future of Economic Policy.’

The summit aims to transition the nation from economic stabilization toward sustained growth by attracting investment, strengthening regional trade, and developing new economic activities. Discussions will cover various sectors, including energy, healthcare, digital technology, and regional value chains.

High-level participants include Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya and various international experts from organizations such as the Asian Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation. The event serves as a platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors to rebuild investor confidence and chart a path for long-term economic development.
