President Bola Tinubu manages party disputes and religious condolences
President Bola Tinubu has been involved in several key domestic activities. Following an intelligence report from National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu regarding internal party friction, Tinubu summoned 76 All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders from Osun State to the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting addressed grievances from leaders who felt sidelined ahead of the August 15 governorship election, with the President urging unity to support candidate Bola Oyebamiji.
In religious affairs, a delegation from the Tijaniyya Supreme Council—representing over 400 million members globally—visited the President to offer condolences for the death of renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi. The delegation included representatives from Algeria and Senegal. Tinubu honored Bauchi, describing him as a "beloved father and a great leader."
Additionally, Tinubu approved a high-level delegation, led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and including five state governors, to attend the inaugural Nigeria Diaspora Investment Economic Conference in Toronto, Canada, scheduled for August 2026.
