Claudia Sheinbaum unveils train, housing and water initiatives on tour

President Claudia Sheinbaum and State of México governor Delfina Gómez inspected the Xaltocan‑Nextlalpan station of the Mexico‑Pachuca high‑speed line, noting that construction is more than 37 % complete and targeting inauguration in 2027. The project will link the Buenavista terminal with Pachuca and connect to the Tren Felipe Ángeles.

During a visit to Zacatecas she confirmed that the guaranteed price for beans will remain in effect through 2027, securing income for about 16 000 local producers, and reiterated commitments to the Pensión Mujeres Bienestar and other social programs.

She highlighted the federal “Vivienda para el Bienestar” programme, which aims to build 1.8 million homes and benefit 11.5 million families. She announced that credit restructurings have reduced or cancelled debts for 5.1 million families, and said the Infonavit now holds more resources than before.

In Durango she delivered 48 homes in Gómez Palacio, part of a plan for 12 000 houses in the state, and promised joint federal‑state funding to rehabilitate the municipal drainage system. She also supervised progress on the Tunal II reservoir, a 5.9‑billion‑peso water project intended to supply safe drinking water to 340 000 residents for the next 50 years.
