President el-Sisi directs teacher allowances and education reforms
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met with Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel Latif and the Director of the Egyptian Military Academy to discuss improving the quality of the national education system. The meeting focused on enhancing the selection and preparation of teaching staff and school leadership.
President el-Sisi directed that monthly allowances be paid starting this September to teachers and school principals who have successfully completed training courses at the Egyptian Military Academy, which typically last between three and six months.
To modernize educational leadership, the Ministry of Education is launching a specialized training program at the Egyptian Military Academy in collaboration with Harvard University, targeting approximately 220 government school leaders. Additionally, cooperation with Hiroshima University is underway to train teachers in Japanese educational development models to be implemented in Egyptian schools.
