Egypt advances education reforms and digital outsourcing growth

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly are overseeing several national initiatives focused on education, economic growth, and consumer protection.

In the education sector, President el-Sisi met with education ministers to discuss the implementation of the Egyptian Baccalaureate system and preparations for the 2026/2027 academic year. Discussions included enhancing university partnerships and expanding international programs. Additionally, the government is working to improve the system for international students through the ‘Study in Egypt’ initiative to boost cultural ties and foreign currency inflows.

Regarding the economy, Prime Minister Madbouly visited major outsourcing and digital service companies in Alexandria, including Teleperformance. He highlighted the outsourcing sector as a vital economic driver, noting that Egypt hosts approximately 252 companies with over 195,000 specialists. Teleperformance Egypt, specifically, reported that 90% of its revenue comes from service exports.

On the legal front, the President has ordered investigations into the ‘Global Paradigm’ school incident, involving allegations of unauthorized financial commitments totaling approximately 319 million EGP across hundreds of clients. Lawmakers have praised these directives as a necessary step to protect citizen rights and ensure financial and educational oversight.
