President Emomali Rahmon orders Tajik military parade in Dushanbe

On 29 July 2026, Tajik authorities organized a military parade in Dushanbe to mark the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence. The Ministry of Defence announced that President Emomali Rahmon ordered the ceremony and that a high‑level consultative meeting was held under the direction of Lieutenant‑General Yusuf Rahmon, head of the state security service. The meeting reviewed the readiness of troops, coordination of military units, parade order and ceremonial procedures.

The announcement also noted that public parades will be held in regional administrative centers across the republic, involving officials of executive bodies, ministries and various institutions, all preparing for this major state event.
