President Erdoğan to Open Turkey's 2nd Communication Council in Ankara

The Presidential Communication Presidency is convening the 2nd Communication Council (2. İletişim Şurası) under the theme “Turkey’s Century: Century of Communication”. The two‑day meeting will take place on 28‑29 July 2026 at the ATO Congresium in Ankara. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will open the council, and Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Duran will address participants.

The council aims to develop an applicable framework for the Turkey Communication Model, bringing together representatives from public institutions, the private sector, NGOs, media and academia. Preparatory workshops held on 8‑9 January involved 425 communication experts in 16 working groups, producing reports and decrees that will be shared during the council. Outcomes will include a Result Declaration and published “2nd Communication Council Reports” and “Decrees”.

The event is intended to assess current communication policies, identify needs and gaps, and formulate strategic recommendations for Turkey’s communication ecosystem.
