President Herzog calls India a true friend of Israel

Israeli President Isaac Herzog described India as a ‘true friend of Israel’ while expressing gratitude for holiday greetings from Indian leadership. The remarks followed messages sent by Indian President Droupadi Murmu to mark Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

In addition to President Murmu, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar extended their wishes to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar. The leaders exchanged messages of peace, prosperity, and continued friendship between the two nations via social media.
