President Javier Milei performs viral “six seven” gesture from Casa Rosada

Argentine President Javier Milei appeared on the balcony of the Casa Rosada alongside members of his cabinet to interact with students in Plaza de Mayo. During the appearance, the President and several officials, including General Secretary Karina Milei and Minister of Human Capital Sandra Pettovello, performed the “six seven” (or “6-7”) hand gesture.

The gesture, which involves alternating hand movements, originated from social media trends on TikTok and is associated with basketball culture and internet memes. The event occurred on a Monday morning following the President's reception of Frey John Dunlap, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, and prior to a cabinet meeting.

The public display comes amid political anticipation regarding Milei's response to the Brazilian presidential election results, in which Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva defeated Flávio Bolsonaro.
