President Javier Milei to close IAEF convention in Puerto Iguazú

President Javier Milei is scheduled to close the 47th Annual Convention of the Instituto Argentino de Ejecutivos de Finanzas (IAEF) in Puerto Iguazú. The event focuses on investment challenges, reforms, and national competitiveness.

Corrientes Governor Juan Pablo Valdés will participate in a panel regarding the role of provinces in the country's competitive transformation alongside governors Alfredo Cornejo of Mendoza, Raúl Jalil of Catamarca, and Hugo Passalacqua of Misiones. While Valdés will be present at the convention, he has dismissed speculation regarding a private meeting with President Milei, stating that no such encounter is planned.

Valdés indicated that his focus during the event will be on working with fellow Norte Grande governors to press for the passage of a law regarding differentiated energy tariffs for cold zones. The convention program also includes sessions with central bank officials, the Minister of Deregulation, and the Minister of Economy.
