President José Antonio Kast emphasizes energy relief and national unity

President José Antonio Kast has marked the first six months of his administration by focusing on energy policies and national unity. In the Biobío region, the approval of the 'Ordenemos la Cuenta' law has stabilized electricity tariffs and extended the Electricity Subsidy until 2027, providing direct support to over 208,000 families.

Additionally, the elimination of peak control hours for September 2026 was implemented to reduce costs for businesses and SMEs in the Biobío region. Looking forward, the administration aims to advance a new Distribution Law to modernize electrical networks.

During his first Te Deum Evangélico, President Kast called for national unity and political dialogue. Addressing the nation during the Fiestas Patrias celebrations, he emphasized the need to move past difficulties regarding security, employment, and housing to rebuild the nation through consensus and cooperation across political sectors.
