President Karol Nawrocki criticizes TVP disinformation

During a visit to the International Defense Industry Salon in Kielce, President Karol Nawrocki addressed the importance of national security and the threat of disinformation. He stated that Poland is preparing to build defense capabilities for the 21st and 22nd centuries, emphasizing the need to be ready for the “war of the future.”

Nawrocki highlighted that Poland is currently facing hybrid warfare, noting that the Russian Federation utilizes disinformation as a key tool in its aggression against Ukraine and to influence Polish public sentiment. While acknowledging foreign disinformation, the President expressed particular concern regarding the role of Poland’s public broadcaster, TVP. He argued that a public television service funded by taxpayers should inform the public rather than spread disinformation.
