President Karol Nawrocki scheduled for Włodawa visit following drone incident

President Karol Nawrocki is scheduled to visit Włodawa on September 17 to participate in commemorations marking the 87th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II and the Soviet aggression against Poland. The planned itinerary includes laying a wreath at a war cemetery and meeting with local residents in the town square.

In a separate recent event on September 13, a security incident occurred during harvest festival celebrations (Dożynki) in Tryńcza, Podkarpacie, where the President and First Lady were in attendance. An unauthorized drone entered a restricted flight zone established by the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency. Police detained the operator, a resident from the Tarnów area, who claimed he was unaware of the flight restrictions. The prosecutor's office has initiated proceedings regarding the violation of aviation laws.
