President Kast addresses regional priorities in Los Ríos

During a visit to the Los Ríos Region, President José Antonio Kast met with local authorities to discuss regional priorities and infrastructure commitments. Regional Governor Luis Cuvertino requested central government support for several critical issues, including the development of the Regional Civic Center, sanitation projects to address water and sewage gaps, and the environmental situation at the Morrompulli landfill.

Cuvertino also emphasized the need for dual-lane access roads to Valdivia and requested a review of the toll system to reduce the financial burden on local families. Additionally, discussions focused on stimulating employment through increased public and private investment.

Deputy Leandro Kunstmann Collado highlighted several outcomes from the visit, including commitments to the national naval construction policy to boost local industry and employment. Other key developments include the officialization of the ‘Bono de Ayuda a la Niñez’ for over 1,700 families in Corral, progress on the Paillaco-Valdivia dual-lane tender, and initiatives to combat rural theft (abigeato) through increased security operations.
