President Lee distributes regional specialty Chuseok gifts

President Lee Jae-myung has distributed Chuseok holiday gifts to various sectors of society, aiming to promote national unity and coexistence. The gifts consist of regional specialties from the ‘5-Pole 3-Special’ zones, a government strategy focused on balanced national development involving five major metropolitan areas and three special self-governing provinces.

Specific items include red ginseng slices from Gimpo, chestnut chips from Chungju, Andong Soju from Andong, shiitake mushrooms from Jangheung, jujube chips from Miryang, Igangju from Jeonju, Gondre from Yeongwol, and bracken from Jeju.

The recipients include key figures contributing to national development, national heroes, persons of merit, and socially vulnerable groups. For the second consecutive year, gifts were also provided to the bereaved families of industrial accident victims to signal the government's commitment to a safe society. Additionally, gifts will be delivered to former presidents and their spouses.
