South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has dropped to 38.9%, marking the first time it has fallen into the 30% range since his inauguration. According to a Realmeter poll conducted from August 24 to 28, this represents a seventh consecutive week of decline.

Negative evaluations rose to 58.7%. Analysts attribute the decline to several factors, including worsening public sentiment regarding real estate, controversies surrounding Supreme Court nominee appointments, distrust in the police following a disappearance in Jeju, and internal political conflicts.

Demographic and regional data show significant shifts. Approval among voters in their 50s fell by 7.5 percentage points to 40.8%, and the Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong regions saw the largest regional drop of 8.5 percentage points. Conversely, approval among voters in their 30s rose by 8.8 percentage points to 34.7%.

Regarding political parties, the Democratic Party's support stands at 43.1%, while the People Power Party's support is at 37.7%. The People Power Party has criticized the administration, demanding the dismissal of what they termed 'unconstitutional bulletproof special prosecution' aimed at protecting the President.
