Abinader and Noboa announce key political and administrative changes

In the Dominican Republic, President Luis Abinader has implemented several administrative and regional changes. Through Decree 631-26, new appointments were made within the Ministry of Administrative Affairs of the Presidency. Escarlyn Yakaira Benzán has been named Vice Minister of Social and Community Management, replacing Juan de Jesús Garrigó Mejía, while Gaetano Raimundo Pellicce Sebelén takes over as Vice Minister of Production and Entrepreneurship Incentive.

President Abinader is also scheduled to relocate his office to Santiago for three days in mid-September to address local economic, social, and infrastructure issues. This comes amid calls from Senator Antonio Marte for the government to intervene in electricity generation companies due to rising consumer complaints regarding inflated energy bills.

In Ecuador, President Daniel Noboa has appointed Brigadier General Mauro Enrique Pablo Julian Bedoya Avilés as the new Commander General of the Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE), replacing Mauricio Xavier Salazar Machuca. Additionally, Noboa announced that the contract for the new Cayambe hospital has been awarded, a project expected to benefit over 140,000 people by providing specialized medical services locally.
