Lula accuses STF Minister André Mendonça of political interference

In recent interviews, Lula argued that Mendonça has been conducting 'selective denunciations' to serve specific interests. The President also addressed the controversy surrounding Minister Alexandre de Moraes, stating that Moraes should be held accountable if any irregularities are found concerning a contract between Banco Master and the law firm of Moraes's wife. Lula noted that the political opposition to Moraes stems from his role in defending democracy during the 2022 elections and the subsequent investigations into coup attempts.
The Supreme Court is currently divided on whether to consolidate the investigations involving Mendonça and Moraes. A current vote stands at 4 to 3 in favor of separating the processes, though Minister Flávio Dino has requested more time to review the matter.
Additionally, Lula advocated for judicial reform, specifically proposing the implementation of fixed terms for Supreme Court justices to ensure the office serves society rather than personal interests.
