President Mahmoud Abbas meets with Nablus municipal council

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received Anan Al-Atira, the Mayor of Nablus, and members of the newly elected municipal council at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah. Abbas congratulated the delegation on their recent local election victory and emphasized the necessity of supporting elected local bodies to fulfill their national and service-related duties.

During the meeting, the President highlighted Nablus's economic and historical importance, calling for intensified efforts to develop infrastructure and revitalize commercial and developmental activities to alleviate the burdens on citizens. The discussions also covered preparations for upcoming national milestones, with Abbas stressing the importance of national unity for the legislative elections scheduled for November 28.

Mayor Al-Atira presented the council's comprehensive strategic plan for improving public services and enhancing partnerships with the private sector to bolster the local economy.
