President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called for a politics of compromise and dialogue to advance the nation, urging political parties to avoid conflict and bloodshed. Speaking at an event in Thakurgaon, the President emphasized the need for social cohesion, stating that there should be no religious or communal divisions, and that all citizens should live unitedly as Bangladeshis.

During his visit to Thakurgaon, the President also addressed regional development, noting that the demands for a public university have been met and a medical college is being established. He mentioned plans for a sports village and a town complex in the district. Additionally, he encouraged the youth to build their own capabilities rather than solely pursuing jobs or contracting work, stressing the importance of protecting the country's sovereignty and democracy.
