President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir discusses security with Ansar-VDP and BGB

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir held separate meetings with the leadership of the Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to discuss national security and organizational modernization.

During a meeting with Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, the President emphasized the importance of professionalism and discipline in preserving peace and order. He highlighted the force’s role in ensuring public safety following the July mass uprising and stressed the need for continued technological and technical training to strengthen the organization's capacity.

In a meeting with BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, the President urged the force to take more effective measures to curb smuggling, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and border killings. He expressed support for the BGB’s initiative to integrate state-of-the-art drones and modern surveillance technology to enhance border security.
