President Mnangagwa launches healthcare and infrastructure projects in Chinhoyi

During the 23rd ZANU PF National People’s Conference in Chinhoyi, President Emmerson Mnangagwa launched several infrastructure and healthcare initiatives. A primary highlight was the unveiling of the Presidential Ward-Based Primary Health-Care Outreach Programme. This initiative aims to decentralize medical services by deploying 100 nurse-manned, three-wheeler mobile health kiosks to rural and underserved areas. The project is supported by NetOne through its OneHealth initiative in partnership with ZimSmart Villages.

In addition to healthcare, the conference coincided with the launch of various legacy projects in Chinhoyi and at Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT). These upgrades include improved road networks, water reticulation systems, and refurbished student and staff accommodation. Local residents and students have noted the impact of these developments, which include expanded water connections and planned solar power and medical oxygen facilities at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital.

Other activities during the conference included a tree-planting exercise led by the President and First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa to promote environmental conservation.
