President Mulino inspects earthquake recovery efforts in Veraguas

Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino conducted a working tour in the Llano Grande sector of Veraguas, as well as Ocú and Pesé, to inspect recovery efforts following a recent earthquake. The Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning has begun constructing 20 of the 154 homes planned for families affected in the area.

This project is part of a larger government initiative to build 2,700 houses for families who lost their homes, a figure expected to increase based on inspection processes and contracting programs. During the tour, the President visited construction sites, shelters, collection centers, and medical clinics providing care to children and the elderly.

Accompanying the President were First Lady Maricel Cohen de Mulino and several ministers, including Fernando Boyd of Health and Jaime Jované of Housing.
