President Nicușor Dan emphasizes military investment in Romania

President Nicușor Dan addressed students at the 'Ferdinand I' Military Technical Academy during a military oath-taking ceremony for over 2,700 first-year students. He noted that after 80 years of perceived stability, national defense has moved from a theoretical concern to a critical priority.

Dan highlighted that Romania is investing heavily in military equipment and emphasized the necessity of research, innovation, and technological development to ensure success in both economic and military competition. He encouraged the students to contribute to the development of future technologies that will define national security.

In related government activities, the Romanian Government is set to approve a donation from the European Commission consisting of 1,100,000 vaccine doses for livestock. This measure, valued at approximately 1,312,135 lei, aims to combat sheep and goat diseases and facilitate the urgent unblocking of live animal exports.
