President Pezeshkian calls for unity at National Children's Week event

During a ceremony celebrating National Children's Week at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of national unity. Using a metaphor of unbreakable sticks, Pezeshkian stated that collective strength is essential for Iran to grow scientifically and socially, warning that internal division allows enemies to strike the nation.

Alireza Kazemi, the Minister of Education, also spoke at the event, highlighting that no child should be deprived of opportunities due to poverty or family circumstances. Kazemi described investment in children as a strategic necessity for the country's future. He called for a collaborative approach between families, schools, and media to ensure children receive proper nutrition, care, and quality education.

Kazemi further noted that the role of schools must evolve beyond simple knowledge transfer to include teaching critical thinking and problem-solving in the age of artificial intelligence. He stressed that the education system must foster creativity, responsibility, and respect to prepare the next generation to build Iran's future.
