President Pezeshkian orders resolution of transport sector issues

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with transport fleet representatives, trade association heads, and drivers to address professional and livelihood challenges facing the country's road transport sector. Key issues raised by participants included the supply and distribution of tires, oil, and other essential consumables, as well as cargo allocation, insurance, and tax problems.

Pezeshkian instructed the Minister of Roads and Urban Development to coordinate with the Ministries of Petroleum, Industry, Mine and Trade, and Economic Affairs to resolve these obstacles. The President emphasized the strategic role of road transport in maintaining supply chains and economic stability, particularly noting the sector's performance during a recent 40-day conflict period.
