Masoud Pezeshkian visits Saipa production lines

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian visited the production lines of the Saipa automotive group on Thursday, November 7, 2026. Accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Seyed Mohammad Atabak, and the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin, the President reviewed industrial capacities and plans for product quality improvement.

Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of utilizing modern technology and developing advanced, low-consumption engines to meet global standards. He stated that aligning engine design and components with international standards is essential to reducing fuel consumption and enhancing vehicle performance.

The President noted that while the automotive industry faces complex challenges, including sanctions and regional conflicts, the government supports manufacturers working toward technological development. He stressed that industry transformation is a long-term process requiring continuous movement toward higher quality and energy efficiency rather than immediate results.
