President Prabowo Subianto's approval rating drops to 51% in July 2026 survey
A Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) poll conducted from 5‑19 July 2026 found that public satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto’s performance fell to 51.1 percent, down from 81.2 percent in the November 2025 survey. The poll, covering a random sample of 749 eligible voters, reported 4.8 percent very satisfied, 46.3 percent fairly satisfied, 35 percent dissatisfied, 11.9 percent very dissatisfied and 2.1 percent no response, with a margin of error of about 3.7 percent.
Gerindra party deputy speaker Dasco Ahmad said his party is studying the results as input for government evaluation and hopes the findings will be used to address any shortcomings. DPR Commission II member Mardani Ali Sera called the decline a signal that policy direction and cabinet line‑up may need adjustment, while noting the administration still enjoys strong coalition support and social stability. He added that the public’s basic expectations remain jobs, stable prices and a moving economy.
