President Sergio Mattarella thanks author Francesco Bellanti

Italian President Sergio Mattarella, through his Secretariat, sent a letter of thanks to retired Sicilian professor and author Francesco Bellanti. The correspondence was in response to a copy of Bellanti’s novel, ‘I Guiscardo di Sicilia ovvero Il paradiso perduto di Mastraca’, which the author had sent to the Quirinale with a personal dedication.

The novel, published by Carello of Catanzaro, recently received the first absolute prize for published narrative at the ‘Pablo Neruda – Tra l’ombra e l’anima’ International Literary Prize in Carrara. The President’s response, signed by advisor Simone Guerrini, expressed gratitude for the gift and included cordial greetings from Mattarella.
