President Siljanovska-Davkova calls for better Alzheimer's support

During the ‘Alzheimer Matinee’ event in Skopje, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova emphasized the necessity of understanding, care, and support for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and their families. She noted that while medical care is vital, love and companionship play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for patients.

Health Minister Sašo Klekovski addressed the need for increased institutional support for families caring for those with dementia. He highlighted that long-term care for dementia patients is a strategic priority, comparing the current lack of support for elderly care to the established institutional systems available for childcare.
