President Siljanovska-Davkova calls for proactive diplomacy

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova addressed the Ambassadorial Council in Skopje, emphasizing the need for proactive diplomacy within a new multipolar reality. She stressed that diplomacy must be guided by a clear, non-partisan national foreign policy compass to navigate weakening multilateralism and rising security threats.

Siljanovska-Davkova highlighted that European integration has become a strategic, economic, energy, geopolitical, and demographic imperative for both candidate and member states. She called for a predictable and credible negotiation process that is free from bilateral conditioning.

Regarding the diplomatic network, the President stated that ambassadors serve as the image of the state in regional, European, and global contexts. She advocated for enhanced two-way communication between diplomatic missions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, suggesting that ambassadors should present their results before parliamentary committees both upon departure and return.
