President Siljanovska-Davkova receives Czech Ambassador's credentials

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Irena Getova. The meeting reaffirmed the friendship between the two nations, which have continuously improved bilateral relations and strengthened partnerships in international institutions since 1994.

Both parties identified opportunities to intensify cooperation in the areas of economy, security, business, and education. President Siljanovska-Davkova expressed gratitude for the Czech Republic’s principled support regarding North Macedonia’s path toward European Union accession. She emphasized the importance of integrating the Western Balkans into the EU to ensure European security and stability, while calling for an end to the use of vetoes that block negotiation processes based on historical revisionism or identity disputes.
