President Siljanovska-Davkova awards ‘Engineering Ring’ to young engineers

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova presented the ‘Engineering Ring’ awards to 14 of the most successful young engineers during a ceremony at Villa Biljana in Ohrid. The event was attended by Minister for Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski, the president of the Engineering Institution of Macedonia, Dr. Andrej Lepavcov, and the president of the Chamber of Authorized Architects and Authorized Engineers, Dejan Metikos.

During the meeting, the laureates discussed professional plans and raised critical concerns regarding the state of higher education. They emphasized the need for better working conditions and professional development opportunities to prevent the rapid outflow of highly qualified Macedonian engineers to neighboring countries.

Discussions also covered several strategic topics, including the legal framework for higher education, public architecture, data centers, the placement of photovoltaic systems on fertile land, and the prospects of digital agronomy.
