President Tinubu celebrates birthdays of news agency chief and Pentecostal leader

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Ali Muhammad Ali, Managing Director and Chief Executive of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on his 60th birthday (June 7, 2026). In his statement, Tinubu praised Ali for strengthening the agency’s news‑gathering, bridging gaps among citizens, the private sector and government, and helping mitigate the spread of fake news. He said, “Under Ali’s watch, NAN continues to demonstrate consistency in news gathering, sharing, and networking with multilateral institutions, foreign news agencies, and media platforms.”

Tinubu also honored Pastor William Kumuyi, founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, on his 85th birthday. The president highlighted Kumuyi’s influence on millions of believers worldwide and the ministry’s growth to over 150 countries. Tinubu noted, “Your voice has reached beyond the church walls and national borders, bringing hope and encouragement to millions across the world.” Both messages included prayers for continued health and strength.
