Nigeria President Tinubu honors senior leaders on milestone birthdays

Governor Dapo Abiodun praised his wife, Bamidele Abiodun, on her 60th birthday, highlighting her compassion, humility and humanitarian work that has benefitted women, children and vulnerable groups across Ogun State. The celebration included tributes from the Adron Group chairman, who described the First Lady as an “icon of courage, compassion and charisma.”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent warm greetings to Senior Advocate of Nigeria Babatunde Kwame Ogala on his 65th birthday, noting his long‑standing legal service to the All Progressives Congress, his role as former Head of Legal for the party, and his leadership as Pro‑Chancellor of Lagos State University. Tinubu praised Ogala’s professionalism, integrity and contributions to Nigeria’s democratic process.

The President also marked the 87th birthday of former Ogun State Governor and journalist Olusegun Osoba, calling him “a brother in purpose.” Tinubu lauded Osoba’s consistent public and private service, his mentorship of journalists, and his advocacy for federalism, press freedom and accountable governance. Governor Abiodun similarly honored Osoba, describing him as a patriotic statesman whose career spans journalism, governance and democratic activism.
