President University named Indonesia's 70th ASEAN Study Center

President University has been officially designated as the 70th ASEAN Study Center in Indonesia. The announcement was made during the ASEAN-ID Academic Conference on the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) held in Cikarang, West Java.

The conference commemorated the 50th anniversary of the TAC, which was signed in Bali on February 24, 1976. Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi, Director General of ASEAN Cooperation at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that the treaty remains vital amidst increasing geopolitical competition, military force usage, cyber threats, and supply chain disruptions.

Krisnamurthi noted that the true test of the treaty lies in whether member states can resolve differences peacefully, uphold international law, and translate formal agreements into concrete actions. The event focused on strengthening ASEAN norms to achieve the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.
