Uruguayan President Yamandú Orsi has concluded an official mission to New York for the 81st United Nations General Assembly, reporting progress in diplomatic, technological, and regional cooperation meetings.

During his trip, Orsi engaged with various heads of state and international organizations. He met with the presidents of Bolivia and Paraguay to discuss the potential construction of a deep-water port and the development of a regional logistics corridor. He also participated in meetings regarding the Santiago Agreement, aimed at strengthening South American coordination against organized crime.

In the technology sector, Orsi met with representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank and major tech firms, including Google. He proposed Uruguay as a reliable regional hub for the development of artificial intelligence.
