Presidential Symphony Orchestra announces 200th anniversary world tour

The Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) has announced an international concert program to celebrate its 200th anniversary season. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy shared the details of the tour, which aims to showcase Turkey’s musical heritage on global stages.

The tour will begin on November 3, 2026, at the Bucharest National Opera in Romania, conducted by Bujor Hoinic. In March 2027, the orchestra, led by conductor Cemi’i Can Deliorman, will perform in Prague at the Rudolfinum and in Vienna at the Konzerthaus, featuring cellist Mischa Maisky as a soloist.

The anniversary celebrations will culminate on September 21, 2027, with a landmark concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The orchestra's historical roots date back to 1826, and this tour serves to highlight its two-century legacy of musical contribution.
