Presidents Cup captains finalize rosters for Medinah event

Captains Brandt Snedeker and Geoff Ogilvy have finalized their rosters for the 2026 Presidents Cup, scheduled for September 24-27 at Medinah Country Club near Chicago.

U.S. Captain Brandt Snedeker made several notable selections, most significantly naming 21-year-old rookie Jackson Koivun as one of his six captain's picks. Koivun, who recently turned professional after a successful collegiate career at Auburn, joins a roster that includes automatic qualifiers Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley, and Collin Morikawa. Snedeker's other picks include Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Chris Gotterup, and Jacob Bridgeman.

International Captain Geoff Ogilvy announced a 12-man team featuring automatic qualifiers Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee, Kim Si-woo, Tom Kim, Hideki Matsuyama, and Ryan Fox. Due to an injury to Jason Day, Ogilvy utilized his captain's picks on rookies Nick Taylor, Nico Echavarria, and Ryo Hisatsune, alongside veterans Corey Conners, Sungjae Im, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

The biennial event pits the United States against an International team composed of players from outside Europe. The U.S. has historically dominated the competition, winning 13 of the 15 editions held to date.
