Press Advertising Agency implements new regulatory changes
New regulatory changes regarding the Press Advertising Agency and Official Advertisement and Advertising Regulations have officially entered into force following their publication in the Official Gazette.
The amendments allow newspapers and internet news sites to utilize the İŞKUR On-the-Job Training Program for their minimum staff requirements. Depending on the size of the organization, sites can include 1 person for staff up to 10, 2 people for staff between 11 and 20, and up to 3 people for staff exceeding 20. The Press Advertising Agency Board of Directors is authorized to determine the requirements and procedures for these employees.
Additionally, the regulations introduce new rules for General Assembly representative elections. Periodical publication owners and advertisement producers may now appoint proxies in writing to vote in elections. The updates also ensure that if a quorum is not met during the first meeting, a second election will be held the following day at the same time and place, where members can be elected by a majority vote of those present.
