Preston North End and Stoke City linked to potential transfer moves

Preston North End is reportedly interested in re-signing Alan Browne from Sunderland. The 31-year-old Republic of Ireland international is seeking a move after falling out of favor at Sunderland, and Preston is looking for a replacement for Ben Whiteman, who was recently sold to Wrexham. Separately, Stoke City may target Sheffield United striker Tom Cannon if their pursuit of George Hirst fails. Sheffield United is reportedly looking for a fee between £7m and £10m for Cannon.
