Romania schedules widespread electricity outages in July 2026

Romanian electricity distributors have published planned power interruptions for July 2026 across several counties. In Timiș County, outages affect multiple streets in Timișoara and surrounding localities such as Giroc, Balinț, and Sânandrei from July 21 to 24. Hunedoara County sees scheduled cuts in Deva, Simeria, and nearby villages between July 18 and 24. The Muntenia operator lists interruptions in Bucharest, Ilfov and Giurgiu from July 20 to 26, targeting specific streets and commercial areas. Argeș also reports maintenance work for the week of July 20‑26.

All interruptions are timed for daytime hours, typically 09:00‑17:00, to allow repairs, modernization or maintenance of the electrical network. Utilities advise customers that the outages are temporary and necessary to ensure reliable service.

Detailed schedules are available on the distributors’ websites, listing exact streets and time windows for each affected area.
