Pérez and Triana win III Subida a Puntallana

Carlos A. Pérez and Joel Triana emerged victorious in the III Subida a Puntallana, held on August 29. Organized by the Escudería La Palma Isla Bonita, the event served as a scoring round for both the Provincial and Insular Mountain Championships.

In Category 3, Carlos A. Pérez secured his third consecutive win at this event driving a Speed Car GT 1000. He recorded a time of 3:56.232 in the first heat, finishing 3.547 seconds ahead of Alexander Kurt. Samuel Rodríguez completed the podium in third.

In Category 1, Joel Triana won driving a Skoda Fabia R5, setting the fastest time of the day with a 3:58.214 in the final ascent. His performance reinforces his leadership in the insular championship. Antonio José Pérez took second place in the touring car section with a Seat León Supercopa MKII, followed by Pedro David Martín in third with a Citroën Xsara Proto.

In the ‘Deportes Cabildo de La Palma’ Initiation Championship, Jordan Brito claimed victory driving a Citroën Saxo VTS.
