PRI in San Luis Potosí attributes low membership to pending registrations

The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in San Luis Potosí has addressed discrepancies in its membership numbers following a triennial review by the National Electoral Institute (INE). The INE reported 1,859 valid members in the state, placing San Luis Potosí among seven entities where the party failed to reach the 3,000-member threshold required for national territorial dispersion accreditation.

State leader Sara Rocha Medina stated that the lower figure reflects pending affiliations that have not yet been processed by the national platform. She noted that the party is currently working through the INE's digital platform and that municipal committees and various sectors continue to conduct affiliation campaigns. Rocha Medina emphasized that the current numbers do not jeopardize the party's national registration, as the PRI meets the requirement of having dispersion across 25 different entities.
