Chilean Treasury collects $2.4 billion following reconstruction law

The General Treasury of the Republic (TGR) in Chile has collected approximately $2.446 billion in immediate tax benefits within the first 11 days of the Law No. 21.850, also known as the National Reconstruction and Economic and Social Development Law.

As of October 27, 5,430 payment agreements have been signed, with the total debt committed for payment reaching $41.959 billion under terms that allow for up to 48 months of installments. The law provides various facilities for debtors of fiscal and territorial taxes, as well as those with State-Guaranteed Credit (CAE).

General Treasurer Hernán Nobizelli stated that the subscription of these agreements will halt administrative and judicial collection actions. For CAE debtors, the deadline to access these conditions is January 15. For fiscal tax debtors, including individuals and SMEs, a window remains open until April 15, offering options for full cash payments with high interest and fine waivers, or installment plans with significant reductions in penalties.
