PRI-UDC candidates pledge education funding and scholarships in Coahuila elections

Local PRI-UDC candidates in Coahuila outlined plans to boost education and economic opportunity as they campaign for state legislative seats. Memo Ruiz, running for District 02, said he would seek additional congressional funds to improve school infrastructure in the northern region, expand support services such as Casas de Gestoría, launch preventive programs against addiction and violence, and increase scholarships and teacher‑training opportunities, including postgraduate studies and participation in national and international academic competitions.

Lalo Medrano, the PRI‑UDC candidate for District 15, emphasized expanding scholarships and micro‑credit schemes for young people, entrepreneurs, women, farm workers and heads of families. He argued that constituents are asking for tools to study, start businesses and strengthen small enterprises, and pledged to defend and strengthen those opportunities throughout his term.
