Priest band launches autumn tour in Jönköping

The Swedish synthrock band Priest has launched their autumn tour with a sold-out performance at Sofiehof Underjord in Jönköping. The concert, titled ‘Priest era 4’, featured tracks from their upcoming album, ‘Altered State Police’.

Formed by Linton Rubino following his departure as the bassist for Ghost, the band is noted for a sound that blends synthrock with metal influences. The performance showcased a shift toward a more club-oriented pulse with analog-sounding drums. The band’s aesthetic for the tour includes cyberpunk elements, with musicians wearing beak-shaped masks and Rubino performing in a studded helmet.

Strikkland opened the event before Priest took the stage to perform hits such as ‘The Cross’ and ‘Obey’, alongside their August single ‘Python’.
